A note about raw brass: Raw brass will naturally age and patina over time, but can always be polished back to its original bright gold color and shine. There is no plating on raw brass, so the color of a raw brass item is consistently gold throughout, rather than many modern plated alloy metals. Brass ages gracefully, compared to plated metals, and many people prefer the darkened, aged look of brass patina. This charm can be polished over and over so it can retain its bright gold finish (I use Brasso personally, but you can also use a natural mix of lemon juice and baking soda).
